The previously requested appointment of an attorney was approved on 4/25 by the judge.

Bankruptcy Revision
Putting up a new post to restart the comment count.
Amended (and previously missing) bankruptcy documents were filed with PACER on 4/12 and are now available on the Bankruptcy Documents page. Of note is a switch from Chapter 7 to Chapter 13 and an increase in the amount of income reported for the filing period. In addition the Becker property payment is now being used to calculate monthly expenditures, resulting in a negative net income calculation.
Segment 1 of the creditors meeting held on 3/5/2012 is now available as a transcript. Segments 2 and 3 will be added as soon as they are finished.

I respectfully request that users of this site not post contentious comments on JM's sites; this is for several reasons. First of all it does not further our cause one bit; in fact it may detract from it. Secondly JM is 100% in control of her sites, not us, and will use anything that we give her to her advantage. Third and finally, it drives additional traffic to her sites and this is in direct opposition to our intent.

The meeting of the creditors concluded on Monday. The trustee and his staff will continue investigating the documentation submitted to them and will eventually make a recommendation to the judge regarding the requested discharge of the debt. The deadline to file a complaint objecting to the discharge is 6/9/2012; the judge will make a ruling after that.
I am working on the final bankruptcy page which will contain the errors and omissions found in the filing. If you have noticed any discrepancies feel free to list them in the comments. If you have commented already on the previous post, thank you; I received your information.
If you are a blogger / website owner with experience in affiliate linking please contact me; I have a few questions.

Yesterday MckMama finally revealed her weight loss secret that so many followers had been begging for: a multi-level marketing supplement company called Xyngular. Not only that, she registered MckHealthy.com on 2/21 just to tout this particular product; the URL links readers directly to her independent distributor page at Xyngular.
70 Facebook comments later (more if you count the deleted ones) we've learned that, according to MckMama:
- She is SO into nutrition and what goes into my body.
- She has been taking this supplement for two months now; she wanted to make sure she loved them first. She also signed up as a distributor from the beginning.
- Other weight loss supplements have gone against her healthy living beliefs, but this one fits right in.
- The supplement is all natural.
- The phenethylamine (PEA) found in the supplement is not the drug but is the naturally occurring form (like in chocolate!) and doesn't build up in the body. This is in response to an astute reader's comment about failing drug tests if taking the supplement. It's nothing to be scared of!
- If you need drug tests or are in early pregnancy, talk to your doctor about it.
- The retail price is more expensive; contact her for the wholesale prices.
- There is a 30 day money back guarantee if you are not happy with the results.
Where the PEA comes from is a bit of a moot point however, as was pointed out on Facebook; peyote and Ecstasy will both cause you to fail a drug test, even though one is a natural form of the tested-for substance and the other is not.

What we have is another attempt by MckMama to market a product because it will potentially make her money in the process. Remember Send Out Cards, the very short-lived and selectively marketed MLM from December?
The difference here is that there will probably be readers looking for that quick fix who will not bother to check with their doctor first, who will take MckMama's "almost a doctor" advice and sign up under her in order to get the much cheaper wholesale price for the supplement, hoping to mimic her amazing 30lbs in 30 days weight loss.
It's all about the income generating possibilities; she's not just sharing something because it's been so great for her.

Extended Weekend

If you haven't noticed the inundation of ads on MckMama's site, you're in luck; they're now in full force. If anyone's interested in doing the tally on the new ads, the small rotating ads between the posts and the larger static sidebar ads are pulling in $1,200. The Twitter / Facebook mentions are bringing in an additional $700 for a current total of $1,900 for the week. This is at the 'special discounted' rate and is not including the Google/AdSense ads. Not too shabby for a bankruptcy declaring, single parent living, occasionally raging, spouse bashing, pity party throwing, house borrowing 'mommy' blogger fallen from grace.

Two site announcements:
1) A new page will be created for the Landlord/Eviction/Rent Escrow issues and I will link to all documents there. I realize everything is scattered in posts right now and since the issue is still open at the courts, I will be consolidating everything to one page.
2) I will hopefully be switching hosting companies this weekend in an attempt to make connecting to this site easier. I will try to make several announcements throughout the weekend so that if the site is temporarily down it will not come as a surprise to most. It should be much more seamless than it was last time, fortunately.

More Drama
Putting up a new post due to the comment count. I was hoping Disqus would implode and we could all take a much-needed break for repairs, but apparently it's still ticking.
To weed out the facts from the million bits of speculation, Jennifer drove into a ditch yesterday while in MN for the bankruptcy court hearing (and to finish moving out of the farmhouse). No report was filed; she called for the ambulance herself. She is now in an MN hospital on the med/surg ward and is "fine," according to those closest to her.
Neither Jennifer nor Israel showed up to the creditor's hearing and it has now been rescheduled to 3/5/2012. No other information has been added to PACER. Given the amount of important factors that have changed since their bankruptcy filing (place of residence, monthly expenses, assets, etc), it is likely they would need to amend their original filing or re-file the petition. However failure to appear at a 341 creditors' meeting can result in the trustee filing a motion to dismiss the case altogether.
In other news the VP of public policy at SGK is resigning.
I requested this earlier today, but it would be great if we could cut back on the mean-spirited speculation. I understand the reasoning and justification behind it, but it does us no favors. We have had many first time commenters today.
Please flag any comments you feel violate the TOU; there have been too many comments lately for me to review and I rely heavily on the flagging.
